    • Your supply of cotton yarn for sampling and final garment. You may find extra time to weave at home. Yarn is supplied specifically for the items you are learning during the course.

    • A takehome workbook with all of the information you need to weave and to record your samples fibres and patterns.

  • Yes!

The cost of the loom and tools is not included in the course fee. If you don’t have your own fear not, looms and equipment are available to rent. Your rental package will be provided during the second session, when we begin warping, and should be returned at the end of the final session.

Please add this item onto your course purchase.

An inventory checklist will be included and reviewed upon return to ensure everything is ready for the next enthusiastic weaver. This system works on mutual trust—Corrin’s preferred way of doing things—and she kindly asks that all items are handled with care and returned on time.

Missing or damaged items may result in some seriously bad karma—and a replacement fee of up to $400, which covers the full kit and express shipping to keep things running smoothly for the next student, just like they did for you.

  • Please bring with you your reading glasses, pair of scissors, tapestry or darning needle, tape measure and pen/pencil. Snacks are not provided but please bring one if you like.

If you are bringing your own rigid heddle loom please also include 2 shuttles a 3 dpcm reed, threading hook and warping tools. If you’re unsure of anything please contact Corrin.

  • You will learn to weave a simple weave structure with added variations. Weaving is a slow meditative process that needs time to learn, experiment and enjoy. We will make two useful items however, everyone learns and weaves at a different pace. Ideally you’ll walk away with some towelling and a scarf. The focus here is about understanding good foundation techniques.

  • A rigid heddle loom is required for this course. If you need one please add a Loom + Tool Package for hire to your cart.

Please bring water and a snack if needed. Yarn required to make your samples are included in the cost of the course. If you would like to weave additional items while you have access to a loom you’re welcome to however, extra yarn can be purchased separately.

  • Yes, hopefully!

Looms come in all shapes and sizes and this depends on size and the different equipment needed to warp up. There’s some set up variations but possibly can be a workaround.
