Corrin McNamara has been weaving for years. She'd love to show you how.
Weaving found Corrin the same way it finds most people — slowly, then completely. She now teaches it in small groups, either from Workplayhouse, her own studio in Northcote, or at venues in Richmond and Alphington.
Her classes are hands-on from the first hour. No watching, no waiting — you're at a loom making something from the moment you sit down. Students arrive nervous and leave wanting to buy one.

Step 1: Try it first
One evening. Three hours. $75. You'll walk away having made something on a real loom — and knowing whether you want to go further. No experience needed, everything provided.

Step 2: Learn it properly
Over six Tuesday evenings, Corrin takes you from absolute beginner to confident weaver. You'll leave with a real understanding of fibre, structure and technique — and a finished piece you designed yourself. Loom hire available if you need it. $460.

Step 3: Make it yours
You've got the basics. Now comes the interesting part. Over four Tuesday evenings, Corrin takes you into clasped weft, supplementary yarns, texture and colour — and planning projects from your own yarn stash. $300.
