Weaving classes and workshops in Melbourne.

Beginner workshops, multi-week courses and school holiday sessions in Northcote, Richmond and Alphington.

Whether you're here to learn a new skill, have a good night out, or find something for the kids these school holidays, there's a session for you.

If you want to actually learn to weave (to build a real skill and keep going at home) there's a clear pathway from a single introductory evening to weaving independently on your own loom.

If you just want a good night out with something to show for it, our Weave + Leave workshop is exactly that. The loom's set up when you arrive, you weave for three hours, and you leave with a finished object.

And if you're after a school holiday activity that isn't another screen, there are sessions for kids and teens too.

Learn to weave

Most people who end up here weren't looking for a new hobby; they were just looking for something to do with their hands. Something that produces a real result at the end of an evening rather than just another tab to close. Weaving turns out to be that thing for a lot of people. Slow enough to be meditative, technical enough to be satisfying, and hard enough that getting better at it actually means something.

Corrin teaches in small groups of four to six, from her studio in Northcote and at venues in Richmond and Alphington. There's a clear pathway from a single introductory evening through to weaving independently at home, and most people find one session is all it takes to know if they want to keep going.

Step 3 — Make it yours

Beyond Basics ($300)

For weavers who've done the Learn to Weave Course and found that six weeks opened more doors than it closed. Over four sessions Corrin takes you into clasped weft, texture, pattern and working from your own yarn stash, the point where weaving starts to feel like a personal practice rather than a set of techniques to memorise.

★★★★★

"The activity was both creative and mindful, and the results were immensely satisfying. I can't wait to do the next course."

— Megan U.

Have a good night out (and weave)

Not every creative session needs to teach you something. Sometimes you just want a few hours away from screens, a project to focus on, and something to show for it at the end. Weave + Leave is that — the loom is set up and waiting when you arrive, and you leave three hours later with a finished object you made yourself. Think of it like a paint and sip, but you end up with something genuinely useful.

School holiday weaving workshops for kids and teens

If you're looking for a school holiday activity that doesn’t involve a screen, these workshops are worth knowing about. Small groups, all materials provided, and Corrin and her team have Working With Children Checks. Parents are welcome to stay for the duration.
