Weave + Leave - Weave your own woven pouch

$150.00

Show up, weave, go home with something amazing.

This hands-on beginner workshop skips straight to the good stuff. You'll weave a length of cloth on a ready-to-go loom using upcycled yarn, giving new life to beautiful materials that would otherwise go to waste. You just weave, whip up a tassel and make it yours.

What’s included:

  • A fully prepared loom ready for you

  • All yarn and supplies

  • Sewn finishing with lining and zip

  • A one-of-a-kind woven pouch to keep or gift

Location:

  • Alphington Community Centre, 2 Kelvin Rd, Alphington

  • Richmond Neighbourhood Centre, The Stables, 19 Duke St, Richmond.

Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $150 per participant
Bring: Just yourself and a snack if you like. All materials will be supplied.

“I can’t believe I wove that. It’s quite addictive.”

Your questions, answered

  • The Weave + Leave sessions require lots of time behind the scenes setting up and warping the looms (that’s the hard bit). You arrive and start weaving (which is the easier part) after watching all the instructions. High reward, low effort.

The Learn to Weave Workshop is an intensive workshop designed for the curious weaver wanting learn all of the weaving process. It is learning the foundations of weaving.

  • The loom will be set up with cotton yarn. Corrin upcycles natural fibre yarn by laundering waste cloth, cutting and balling it. It’s a chunky quick weaving yarn that has a nuanced and handmade feel. You’ll leave with an unmistakably unique piece

  • We’ve designed this workshop to be engaging, hands-on, and creative. You’ll get to choose your colours and be strategic in how you’d like it to look (which takes time). Or you can live on the edge and see where it takes you. Either way, this is a no-commitment session that’s low effort, high reward.

If you’re up for a bigger challenge, sign up to the intensive 6 week Learn to Weave Course or better still, buy a loom and let’s hang out!
