“I did the weaving workshop and loved it so much. I got to make a pencil case that is really beautiful. Corrin was really helpful and patient teaching me how to weave and I can’t wait to do it again.”

No, but it’s super helpful that they come with a curious and patient attitude.
The looms will be set up with the warp already prepared (that’s the hard bit) and then your teen can start weaving (which is the easier part) after watching all the instructions. The classes are small so there’s lots of support if needed.

They’ll definitely finish their piece by the end. If there’s no time for sewing, they can take home your woven cloth and make something from it yourself, or leave it with Corrin who will sew it later and drop it off another time.

We’ve designed this workshop to be engaging, hands-on, and fun. Teens get to choose their own colours, work on a loom, and create a one-of-a-kind piece that’s quickly transformed into a finished pouch. The small group setting means they’ll be surrounded by others enjoying themselves, and there’s always support and encouragement along the way.
Of course, every teen is different — if your child really doesn’t want to continue, they’re welcome to step away. But in our experience, once they see their weaving come together, most are hooked and excited to finish.
